Nasran Bin Nawi has been engaged as a secessionist for the concert performances of Sarah Brightman, Il Divo, and Richard Clayderman.

His international engagements were with the Asia Pacific String Ensemble, with performances in Tokyo, Nagoya and the ASEAN Japan Festival Orchestra in Bangkok.

He was an active cello tutor at the National Arts Academy, and UCSI University.

Currently, he is the cello principal of the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) of Malaysia.
