NOGEI was formed with the goal of promoting the culture of Papua, located at the eastern tip of Indonesia, with a particular focus on Melanesian culture. NOGEI is a creative genre of music that combines traditional and modern elements. They are performed at various festivals both domestically and internationally, including the United States, Australia, and Vanuatu.
